How to add a FBML Tab To Your FaceBook Fan Page
Start inside your Fan Page area called ‘edit page’ – go to the bottom of the page to More Applications.
![]()
Next type in the application you are looking for: FBML

Click on static FBML

Click add to my page

If you have more than one page a pop-up box will appear asking you to choose which page to add the FBML to. Choose which one to apply the FBML to and click OK
Then return to “edit page” to find the FBML under Applications
Click on the pencil icon to start setting up the FBML page.

Start with Application Setting First.

Click to change Tab from available to Added
Change the Box from added to available
Click OK and return to the edit page. Next choose Edit
This is where you will put the code into the FBML page.
Change the box title to what you wish your page tab to say. For example; I use ‘home’ on my page. (on this test page I changed the box title to testing FBML).
Copy and paste the code into the box and click Save Changes.

Now go to edit your wall settings. This is where you make the custom FBML page the default landing page for new users.

A few FaceBook application oddities to note:
- The new FBML page is the default landing page for users who are NOT fans. Once someone becomes a fan FaceBook shows them the Wall page by default. The tab for the FBML page will show up on the top navigation for Fans to navigate to.
- If you do not set the ‘Box’ tab to ‘available’ (the status for turning it off) a strip of the FBML page may show up on the wall settings.
****** That is because you can create a box along the side on the wall page to further brand your Fan Page for all fans to see. This side box is a narrow box along the left hand side under the logo. If you would like a small customized FBML box there please let me know and I will be happy to send you a bid for the project. ********
